Job Description: Systems Administrator Reports to: Program Manager FLSA: Full-time Hourly Non-exempt Primary Work Location: Ft. Position Overview Work is performed in a DoD environment and support an environment with Cisco switches, Windows servers & workstations and physical security / access control. Responsibilities / Duties Shift: Day with on-call after hours rotational support Install, Configure, Maintain, and Troubleshoot physical and virtual hosts: Physical: Servers and Workstations Virtual: Hyper-V All are Windows OS, except one VM hosting Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS. Configure, upgrade, and patch hardware and software to maintain compliance with DISA STIGs and remediate vulnerabilities identified via ACAS scanning. Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS): Current certificate or complete a 4-day ACAS Operators course. Install, configure, and maintain ACAS vulnerability scanning components. Tenable.sc and Nessus Manager operate on RHEL OS. RHEL OS requires using Terminal, not GUI, for management. Run weekly vulnerability and monthly compliance scans for remediation and reporting. Galaxy Control Systems: Current certificate or attend a 5-day course on Galaxy Access Control software. Coordinate with on-site Galaxy Technicians to troubleshoot and/or establish connectivity between virtual servers hosting Galaxy SQL database and alarm sensors. Submit and update Service Orders / Tickets via Remedy IT Service Management. Communicate and coordinate with other System Administrator, Galaxy Technicians, Cyber Engineer, Program Manager, and DoD personnel to perform IT administration and security related tasks for inspection/auditors. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (experience may be substituted) Certification: DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Security, CYSA, CCNA Security, GSEC, GICSP, CND, or SSCP Clearance: DoD Secret Experience: 5 years administrating & troubleshooting Windows Servers/Workstations and network connectivity. Excellent attention to detail and Customer Service skills Preferred skills & knowledge Experience with Linux administration Experience with SQL Database administration Experience with DISA STIG compliance checks via manual review and automatic SCAP scanning CompTIA Server, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, or other server or system administration related certification CompTIA Network or other networking certification Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) Physical Demands Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally and walk short distances. Lifting / Carrying Parts, PCs, Servers, etc. Working under desks, wiring closets. Walking from building to building and climbing stairs. Potentially removing / replacing doors. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
