TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must have valid compact or state license at time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry and dysrhythmia management - PCU/Stepdown care - IV insulin & heparin protocols - Renal failure management - Cardiac & vasoactive drips (including titration) - Blood product administration - Tracheostomy management - Rapid response team utilization - Wound care/wound vac - Non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, Oxygen) - EPIC documentation skills Job Description: - Provide patient care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups in the Emergency Department Observation Unit. - Ensure strong communication and coordination with other healthcare team members. - Responsible for managing patient loads with a staffing ratio goal of 1:4. - Engage in rapid response protocols and emergency interventions as needed. - Administer medications and manage IV drips including insulin and heparin following established protocols. - Deliver high-quality wound care and manage wound vac systems. - Execute tracheostomy care and non-invasive airway management. - Document patient care comprehensively and accurately in the EPIC system. - Collaboration with a credentialing team to ensure compliance with fingerprinting and vaccination requirements. - Must complete required orientation hours prior to starting the position.
