**Job Description:**
- Work in the Operating Room department.- Handle adult, pediatric, geriatric, and obstetric cases.- Involved in orthopedic surgeries such as total joints and arthroscopy, as well as OB/GYN procedures like cesarean sections and laparoscopy.- Conduct general surgical procedures, including laparoscopic appendectomy and cholecystectomy.- Average 6-10 cases per day, up to 20 at times.- RNs are not required to scrub.- Participate in 9-hour day shifts from Monday to Thursday with varying start times (0700-1630 or 0600-1530 with call).- Team/self-scheduling available.- Call requirements include 1-2 shifts per week during weeknights and 1 weekend per month.- Holiday call coverage required.- Call response time must be within 15 minutes.- Occasionally assist other departments; no patient loads, just support with call lights and one-on-one assistance.- Scrub color/dress code is provided.- One week of unit/department-specific orientation.- Required to float first and serve in a support capacity.- Experience with Meditech EMR system preferred.- Orientation consists of 12 hours.
