Position Summary: The General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of roofing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, extensive knowledge of roofing practices, and the ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously. The General Superintendent will collaborate closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of multiple roofing projects, including scheduling, coordination, and management of crews and subcontractors.

• Supervise and mentor site superintendents, foremen, and labor crews, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.

• Ensure all projects adhere to company and OSHA safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and meetings with crews.

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify project standards are being met and address any issues with workmanship or materials.

• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of roofing projects, adjust resources and timelines as needed.

• Resolve on-site issues, including design challenges, client concerns, or supply delays, by working closely with the Project Managers and other stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, material usage, and change orders.

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the field and management team, ensuring clear and timely communication on project progress, delays, or concerns.

• Assist in managing project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively.

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and providing updates on project status.

• Perform additional duties as assigned or required to meet the evolving needs of the business.

• 7+ years of experience in roofing construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent or supervisory role, managing large teams and multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with a focus on productivity, quality, and safety.

• In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, installation methods, safety practices, and building codes (particularly Florida-specific codes and regulations).

• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively across multiple job sites.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, crews, and management.

• Strong troubleshooting and conflict-resolution skills to handle on-site issues efficiently.

• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore), scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR certification, and valid Florida driver's license.

• Experience working in Florida's roofing market and familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
