The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of paralegal experience in intellectual property, possess strong initiative, excellent prioritization skills, and outstanding interpersonal abilities.

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Patent & Trademark Paralegal to join our client's IP team in their Seattle, Washington office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of paralegal experience in intellectual property, possess strong initiative, excellent prioritization skills, and outstanding interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file patent and trademark applications, assignments, and responses to office actions with the USPTO
- Conduct thorough trademark searches and prepare detailed analysis reports for clients.
- Monitor and manage deadlines for patents and trademarks using CPI database
- Oversee client portfolios for patents and trademarks, collaborating with foreign associates on international filings and maintenance
- Handle the intake and organization of newly acquired patent and trademark portfolios
- Coordinate with international counsel on patent and trademark matters, ensuring timely communication of attorney instructions and processing payments for services
- Advanced knowledge of the USPTO Electronic Filing System and prior experience handling IP dockets
- Skilled in researching and tracking patents and trademarks through specialized databases
- Experienced in managing the iterative process of IP applications, including coordinating client materials and responses to additional requests
- Proficient with various software systems, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web browsers (Chrome, Firefox), and legal tools like CPI, iManage, and Chrome River
- Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate preferred
- A minimum of 8 years of prior experience in intellectual property, trademark, and/or patent law
