Requirements: ARRT Radiography Certification ARRT CT and AHA BLSMust be able to perform diagnostic CT exams.Position Description/Duties: Performs CT scans of designated anatomy using professional judgment while imaging with regard to technical quality according to physician specifications. Provides courteous and professional delivery of CT technical exams and procedures while adhering to radiation safety precautions. Supports patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality regarding PHI and HIPPA related information.&bull

Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors, and monitors.&bull

Reviews all images of all exams, repeating images as necessary for best possible result.&bull

Communicates with the patient by addressing the patient by name, introducing self to the patient, explaining the exam in lay terms and keeping the patient Informed of exam progress.&bull

Prepares patient images to PACs for interpretation by a radiologist and administers contrast media per protocol.&bull

Completes technical notes, verifies images, and sends exams to PACS promptly.&bull

Notifies physician of any adverse reaction to contrast media or change in patient's condition.&bull

Reviews patient chart/script prior to initiating exam to verify pertinent information.&bull

Prepares patients for CT procedures by accurately assessing patient's needs, medical history, and provides patient education.&bull

Operates computed tomography scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.&bull

Attends department meetings or other mandatory meetings with a positive attitude.&bull

Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.Required Skillsets: Able to communicate and support outpatient, house patient and ER patients of all types for all CT services required.Experience Required: 1 yearLicense Required: ARRT Radiography Certification ARRT CTCertifications Required: AHA BLS
