Medical Assistant (MA) - Wound Care

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants:0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.Mid Coast Medical Group - Wound Care | MaineHealth has an immediate opening for a full-time (32 hours) Medical Assistant. Wound healing treatment, also called specialized wound care, helps patients with wounds and injures that are not healing properly. Non-healing wounds can lead to infections and amputations in severe cases. MaineHealth wound care specialists treat a wide variety of wound such as:Diabetic ulcersPressure ulcersVascular ulcersTraumatic woundsSurgical woundsRequired Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required.
