**Job Description****Position Title:** Student Intern - IT (SAP/ERP) (Summer 2025)**OPEN UNTIL FILLED****Department/Location:** Information Technology/Bismarck, ND**Company:** Basin Electric Power Cooperative**Position Purpose:**This temporary position assists the ERP team with supporting the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA system across various functional areas such as Finance, Procurement, Asset Management, Human Resources, etc. This position will analyze business processes, configuring SAP modules, and provide user support. They will collaborate with IT professionals and business users to enhance the systems functionality and alignment with organizational goals. **This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems.****Essential Functions:**+ Assist in gathering, analyzing, and understanding business requirements related to SAP S/4HANA modules such as Finance (FI), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), or others based on departmental needs.+ Support the configuration and testing of SAP S/4HANA functionalities to ensure they meet the business process requirements.+ Participate in system integration testing, unit testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate changes and enhancements.+ Collaborate with business users and IT teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve system errors.+ Help maintain documentation related to functional configurations, process flows, and user guides.+ Assist with the preparation of training materials and provide support to end-users during the roll-out of new functionalities or modules.+ Conduct basic data analysis and reporting using SAP tools to assist in decision-making processes.+ Learn and apply SAP best practices and methodologies to optimize system performance and business processes.+ Participate in meetings and workshops with business stakeholders to gather insights and provide feedback on system enhancements.+ Stay updated with new developments and features in SAP S/4HANA and related technologies.**Qualifications** **:**+ Enrolled as a full-time student in a two-year Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline with at least one year completed; Or+ Enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline with at least two years completed; Or+ Recently completed a two-year or four-year program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.+ At least 18 years of age.+ A minimum of a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) is preferred.+ Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.+ Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Word and Outlook.+ A valid drivers license.+ Resume required.+ The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines. This position uses small hand tools. This position requires finger dexterity, good hearing, and color vision, the ability to perform close work, and the ability to speak. The incumbent must be able to analyze data and reports, conduct research, and implement recommendations. This position occasionally works in conditions of dirt and dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat and cold, vibration, and noise.
