Key Responsibilities:
Purpose & Vision Alignment : Understand and adhere to Orbitform's Purpose, Vision, and Values.Technical Proficiency : Use standard gauging equipment and interpret technical blueprints accurately.Ownership of Assigned Areas : Take responsibility for assigned work areas, including quality control and training other machinists. Manage and prioritize work backlog independently.Programming and Machining : Demonstrate the ability to program and machine products using MasterCAM or similar software, ensuring the product is machined to completion.Quality Control : Ensure the product meets all specifications by making necessary adjustments. Reject any products that do not meet specifications and follow procedures for handling non-conforming materials.Work-in-Progress (WIP) Management : Provide estimated timelines for WIP when requested by engineering, spare parts, or other departments.Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels and assist area leaders with scheduling the production of both inventory and non-inventory items.Program and Tooling Management : File and store programs, special tooling, fixtures, and other related documents systematically.Versatility : Work across various machining areas, including CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Manual, and Tool Cell areas.Vendor Collaboration : Collaborate with vendors to improve quality, reduce setup times, and enhance overall machining efficiency.Additional Duties : Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities :This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment :
Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, and vibration.Coolant is used on most machines, and noise levels can be high. The environment can experience extreme heat in the summer and cold in the winter.Physical Demands :
Regular standing, walking, and handling of objects, tools, or controls. Some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required.Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Position Type & Expected Hours of Work :
Full-time position, typically working Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts (1st shift). Overtime and weekend work may be required.Travel :
No overnight travel anticipated, with occasional local day travel required.Education & Experience :
