A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Operating Room team and assist with a lot of spine and ortho neuro surgeries in Northern New Jersey and Manhattan.Responsibilities:The Operating Room Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery will:Participate in preoperative assessments of patients scheduled for spine surgeryAssist in preparing the operating room for spine procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are availableProviding direct assistance throughout the procedureMonitor patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, throughout the surgeryProvide immediate postoperative care to patients in the recovery areaAccurately document surgical procedures, patient progress, and any complications or observations made during the surgeryObtain and record patient medical histories, test results, and other information for medical recordsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:Bachelor's DegreeNYS Physician Assistant (PA) licenseSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsDesired Skills:3+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant (PA)Master's DegreeAble to suture independently in the OR
