The Repairs Division is seeking an experienced Divisional Controller to support our growing business at our 250,000 square foot Turbine-Generator Repair Facility in St. Louis, MO.

The Divisional Controller leads the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the Repairs Division. In this role, you will be responsible for all accounting activities and systems; developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting; implementing and monitoring internal controls; and managing the local finance and accounting staff. The Divisional Controller reports directly to MD&A's CFO, headquartered in Latham, NY and works closely daily on strategies and opportunities to grow the business with the Repairs Division Vice President and Operations Leaders in St. Louis.

Duties & Responsibilities

include but are not limited to, the following:

Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivityWork closely with the Repairs Division VP, including Operations Leaders, on strategies and opportunities to grow businessLead the month-end close processMonitor unreconciled balances and communicate with the accounting team on clearing outstanding positionsSupport job costing setup and job closing in the ERP systemPerform high level analysis of job costs to assist in bidding processAnalyze job margins, as bid vs as executedWork directly with Operations team to forecast production hours and overhead positionsReview customer invoicing and manage milestone billingProvide the accounts payable team with GR/IR support, control open PO'sOversee time capture for job costing accuracy and overall controllership of labor time reportingPrepare annual budgetsAssist with revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.Identify risks and areas for improvement in internal processes and controlsImplement and utilize technology tools to create efficiencies and data accuracyRequirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferredPrevious experience in big four accounting a plusMinimum 5 years' experience. 10 years' experience preferredProven track record of leading & managing a teamExperience working in multi-location environments with colleagues in different locations; cities/states/countriesInventory, Manufacturing and Job Costing accounting experienceSelf-identifies areas of need and takes initiativeStrong working knowledge of GAAPProficient in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables & V- Lookups) and PowerPointExperience using an ERP system such as Epicor or SAPFamiliarity with BlackLine, Power BI, Concur
