We are looking for an experienced dynamic and energetic APRN or PA-C for our well established, growing Urology practice in Tavares, FL.Our Urology network is aligned with our Surgical Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease. Servicing both Lake and Sumter Counties we are seeking a partner APP to help build thriving practice. Inpatient and outpatient opportunities.No OR experience required, however prefer 2 years minimum Urology office experience.The opportunity includes the benefits of a family/collegial team atmosphere, mentoring, assisting in follow ups, post and pre-op prep, and clinic. Team player with patient-first mindsetExcellent communication skillsEligibility for active Florida licenseAbility to collaborate closely with attending physicians and also work autonomously.The PA or APRN under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for the following:
Performs physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic urologic conditions also including urologic oncology within the clinic and hospital setting.Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.Monitors the patient s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as neededCollaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staffFirst assist with urologic surgeries such as removal of kidney stones, etc.Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growthAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new APP should have the desire to join a busy practice.Benefits:
