Oracle Payments team works with various business units in Oracle to bring new consumer payment offerings to market across the many industries Oracle serves. As member of the Oracle Payments Product Development team, you will be contributing to the engineering efforts using a variety of technologies to deliver amazing product features that align with our strategic vision and deliver amazing payments experience for our customers. The Role This opening is for a full stack Senior Software Engineer in the Oracle Payments Team. You will work with a fast-growing, action-oriented team of software engineers, test automation engineers, product managers and UX designers to build out new functionality and enhancements within the product. As a team, we use Agile methodologies to self-organize and deliver value at a rapid pace. As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. As a member of this team, you would be working on groundbreaking cloud technologies, and are encouraged to analyze, design, code, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end-user applications. You should be able to work independently, mentor others and be a highly contributing member of an agile team. They have excellent organizational, planning and time management skills, with a successful track record of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. As part of this new product family, you will interact with a global workforce and provide leadership/mentorship, build API's, solutions, frequently operating at leading edge of technology. Skills: + Well-rounded full stack developer with exposure to all layers of application development + Excellent product development skills - designing, coding, and debugging skills using Java + Experience using Helidon (or a similar) framework for developing Java microservices + Experience implementing services which leverage load balancers and reverse proxies such as NGINX or Cloud Load Balancers/API Gateways + Experience using queue and pub-sub design patterns for segregation of components of an application + Experience using Kafka streams + Experience in interpreted languages such as Python/Perl/Shell + Strong experience in Linux, understanding the various command line utilities and system internals + Secure Coding - experience using security vulnerability scanning tools such as Sonarqube, Fortify, ZAP or ReadyAPI to identify and resolve security issues in code + Strong experience debugging code, handling 'exceptions' and reverse engineering code to root cause problems + Experience developing code which leverages Identity and Access Management REST APIs (e.g. IDCS, LDAP, Active Directory, etc) + Good understanding of authentication best practices and use of JWT, certificate chains, tokens and keys for securing data + Experience developing logging frameworks and using telemetry tools for gathering application statistics + Understanding of common design patterns and algorithms for solving common engineering problems such as cache misses, rate limiting and so on + Experience designing services which have a variety of operating models such as blue-green OR canary deployments + Solid grasp of RESTful and related server-side technologies (e.g. SWAGGER, OpenAPI, NodeJS) + Experience with Cloud Applications and technologies - with a balanced understanding of systems & software engineering + Experience in scalability, performance, security, concurrency for cloud-based Apps is a plus + Experience of database design/modelling, knowledge of RDBMS concepts and working SQL knowledge is required + Experience of 6-10 yrs. in product development is required Travel Component: Approximately 25% travel within the United States and Europe may be required to successfully fill this role. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
