Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY STORAGE SPECIALIST at the GS-2030-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Planning, organizing and directing the activities of the Storage Branch to ensure that personal property storage processes meet customers' needs and comply with regulatory requirements. Oversees the Defense Personal Property Program's storage program's tenders of service and non-temporary storage contracts. Establishing a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan for commercial facilities and Department of Defense activities. Reviewing Quality Assurance reports for accuracy and consolidates reports into a single narrative report. Exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Selecting or recommending selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments. Providing senior-level transportation specialist assistance and staff-level support to key officials within USTRANSCOM, the Department of Defense and Industry. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Planning, organizing and directing the activities of a Storage Branch to ensure personal property storage processes are met and comply with regulatory requirements. Developing regulatory guidance for household goods storage-in-transit (SIT) and non-temporary storage NTS. Providing response to emergency critical situations (i.e., fire, flood, hurricane) in which Defense Personal Property Program (DP3) shipments may be damaged or lost. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
