Part-Time School Nurse

Job Type Part-timeDescriptionSt. Peter's School in Kansas City, MO (Brookside) is seeking a part-time school nurse. The nurse will be responsible for first-line healthcare of the students. This position reports to the principal.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide emergency first aid and other minor health services to students in a school setting.Administer student health records and assists parents with simple medication dispensation.Maintain confidentiality as is relates to student health records.Perform a wide variety of student health care activities including skilled nursing care to students, CPR and first aid as needed, regular review of possible health care problems, and general awareness of developments in the health care field as they apply to the school setting.Administer medications and provides patient care activities within the scope accorded by licensure.May supervise Health Room Aide and/or perform duties described in that job classification.Other duties as assigned. Requirements Possession of certifications, licenses and insurance compliant with all State and diocesan policies and laws is required.Ideal candidate will have at least one year of nursing experience in a school setting.Note: All employees are required to consent to a background check, commit to our Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire.
