Providing occupational therapy services to patients with physical dysfunction in accordance with established departmental and professional practice guidelines, standards and protocols.
Performing evaluations, assigning occupational therapy diagnoses
Developing and implementing patient treatment programs and goals
Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs
Instructing and educating patients/families
Representing service on committees, at meetings and educational programs within the department and hospital.
Serving as a resource in general pediatrics. Participating in unit and department quality improvement program.
Providing direction, supervision and follow up as needed to ensure tasks are performed according to established standards and guidelines.
Monitors performance, provides guidance and feedback and preparing and conducting student evaluations. May participate in departmental training and staff development programs.
May act as a supervisor for assigned direct reports, including occupational therapist assistants (OTA) or rehab aides.
Assisting in monitoring work assignments, identifying areas for improvement and professional development, providing instruction and feedback, and participating in performance evaluations.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
3-5 years of OT experience required, previous supervisory experience preferred
Active state of MA OT license
Pediatric OT experience highly preferred
This position is M-F, and is eligible for a $5000 sign on bonus!
