Responsibilities Performs heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighing up to 80 pounds. Completed work is reviewed for timelines, work practices, and compliance with instructions. Incumbent is responsible for following safety practices, obtaining assistance, and performing maintenance on equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Six (6) months of laboring experience required. 2. Must be able to work under general supervision, responding to initial oral or written instructions and completing assigned tasks. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Education Additional Information Note: Candidates with Special Qualifying Skills and Experience may be brought in higher than the Step 1 rate of pay, determined by the Hiring Manager. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
