Summary You will serve as a Training Specialist in the Air Operations Department, Air Traffice Control Division of NAVAL AIR STATION LEMOORE. Responsibilities You will assist the Training Chief with planning, establishing, and conducting a continuing short- and long-range Air Traffic Control (ATC) training and proficiency development program. You will develop position specific training curriculum, course outlines, instructor guides, lesson plans, visual aids, simulated control situations and problems, and methods of teaching particular procedures or operations. You will conduct classroom training providing proper operations and requirements of simulators. You will serve as a system manager assigning all system accounts, including passwords, privileges, security, size and all pertinent account data. You will train and display knowledge of basic radio, landline, and intercom communications as well as basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1) Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the areas of short and long-range Air Traffic Control (ATC) training and proficiency development program; 2) Developing position specific training curriculum, course outlines, instructor guides, lesson plans, visual aids, simulated control situations and problems, and methods of teaching particular procedures or operations and evaluating the results; 3) Administering training programs in accordance with organization mission and objectives; and 4) Utilizing and managing Air Traffic Control Simulation devices to include powering up or down computer systems, performing system managers duties, and modifying training scenarios.
