Risk Senior Manager - Commercial Cards and Trade Finance

As the First Line Risk Senior Manager, you will represent the First Line Unit in support of the Commercial Cards and Trade Finance businesses within Commercial Banking. You will identify and mitigate potential risks through active engagement and partnerships with your respective business partners to drive meaningful reductions in risk. You will provide and direct complex analysis on product and customer strategies to establish risk thresholds.
This role will be responsible for:
Proactively reviewing, analyzing, and identifying emerging risks, escalating to the Senior Director/Director of First Line Risk where appropriate.
Work with the Senior Director/Director to adhere to internal governance processes and controls for existing and new risk strategies and provide suggestion for remediation.
Lead change control efforts to ensure impacts are appropriately assessed, documented, and implemented.
Work closely with Independent Risk Management partners to ensure your risk inventory is up to date and in compliance with all applicable operational regulatory requirements.
Play a key role in determining how regulatory matters are handled.
Also work with the First Line Control Testing team to initiate investigations into control failures and related issues.
Qualifications:
6-8 years experience in Risk Management, Audit, or Compliance.
Experience implementing and supporting enterprise wide Risk programs
Experience with Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) platforms
Extensive experience managing risk governance of projects including planning, implementation, and reporting
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and legislative guidelines, particularly for treasury and cash management products
Demonstrated interpersonal relationship building, internal customer focus and team facilitation skills
Proven leadership skills
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Current Commercial Card and Trade Finance industry experience preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree Required
Hours & Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 working from home;
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday
Office Location: Johnston, RI, Westwood or Boston MA, Shelton CT
