Summary THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN USPFO, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D0903000. Responsibilities Performs a full range of warehousing activities to include receiving, storing, selecting and shipping bulk and bin materials and equipment. Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials within docking area. Prepares inventory and production reports, screens and identifies shipping and receiving documents for discrepancies, and directs shipments to shipping or storage areas. Identifies, examines, classifies, accepts and disposes of a wide variety of materials and property including electronic equipment, aircraft and automotive components and assemblies. Performs other related duties as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY GRADES: E4 through E6 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms; skill in using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment to move stock; ability to use hammers, pliers, and other hand tools; and to follow oral and written instructions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 9 months experience or training in receiving, packaging, and preparation for shipment. Experience in compiling reports, overall warehouse planning, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures, and techniques. Experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc. Applying knowledge of basic design and construction principals for the construction of standard and non-standard shipping and storage containers. Technical knowledge of automation systems in daily operations. Technical knowledge of transportation, security, environmental laws, and regulations in daily warehouse duties. Knowledge or experience in routing materials for technical review, storage, repair or disposal. Specialized Experience Requirements for NGB Federal Wage System Positions for claiming civilian job experience: Creditable experience must have been performed at least 30 consecutive days and be properly documented. Experience in the same line of work can only be credited on the basis of a regular 40-hour workweek. Hours per week MUST be documented on resume to receive any credit.
