Purpose: Manages all aspects of the Channel, consistent with brand and company objectives, so as to maximize sales of adidas products. Develop and implement efficient sales structure within OneNAM that executes against guiding principles of consumer / customer focus, speed to market and engraining consistent business practices across Channel. Key Responsibilities (Functional): Assume full ownership / accountability for Channel P&L statement and KPI metrics. Responsibility for achievement of sales and profitability targets by customer within the Channel. Be a strong contributor within the Sales Management Group of the adidas brand (Canada and US) in planning and executing on-going sales management. Provide constant coaching to all levels of Channel organization in the areas of account planning, sales planning, sales & marketing presentations, inventory management, Channel profitability, and on-going management / understanding of specific account business metrics within this Channel. Every conversation starts with the consumer & Director Channel is responsible for developing strategies that align adidas with the Canadian consumer. Director owns the Channel distribution within the larger Canada Wholesale Strategy including exploring future opportunities. Responsibility for the development and management of all sales programs and strategies, including terms and conditions, sell in programs, rebates, etc. Take the lead in developing retail activation plan to drive our consumers into our retail partners and to purchase branded products. Director will work with Sales VP's and other Channel Directors in developing 3 Year Strategic Business Plan for the Channel with end goal of increased market share & profitability. Think cross functionally within adidas NAM as the Channel will impact every department & Director is accountable for pulling all the pieces together. Own internal procedures for adidas as related to this channel to ensure full compliance with internal audit and published guidelines / procedures. Take leadership role in refining efficient product procurement process. Monthly reporting, analysis & forecasting of sales and related metrics. Manage all sales related overhead budgets including travel/entertainment, sales meetings, FOC (free of charge), co-op, seeding, discounts, and returns. Work closely with the marketing department to develop and analyse plans and programs which will deliver increased sales and market share. Work closely with Account Operations (customer service) to ensure all orders are received and entered on a timely basis. Work closely with Sales & product marketing team to ensure the product needs of Channel are proactively addressed. Work closely with the product marketing team to develop effective brand and product segmentation strategies for Channel. Planning of all sales training and trade show activities as related to Channel. Provide recommendations to VP Sales on sales team development opportunities and organization future needs. Ensure safe, correct working procedures are carried out within the department, in accordance with our company's Health & Safety Policy. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Sales. Key Relationships: Sales, Procurement, Account Operations, Product Team, Logistics, Finance / Credit, DC, External Customers, Senior Managers. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Strong business management skills. Ability to motivate product, marketing & sales teams and to influence internal stake holders in support of Channel initiatives. Ability to establish productive relationships with a broad base of accounts. Excellent presentation and training skills. Strong knowledge of the Canadian market, specifically in the Lifestyle space. Excellent knowledge of MS, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Minimum Qualifications: University graduate with education in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
