We are currently looking for an experienced
Senior Solution Architect
that will focus on data/application integrations, master data management and system modernization. As a core member of the Enterprise Architecture team, your expertise and collaboration skills will help drive development of quality solutions and ensure alignment to strategic technology directions. Whether working alongside project team members as part of an Agile Release Train or helping to build patterns and reference architectures for technology standards, your contributions will help ensure Zions applications and solutions are built to deliver maximum business value.
The Solution Architect will:
•Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural solution to achieve business objectives with consideration of business drivers and capabilities (future and current state).
•Work closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product life cycle.
•Supports product managers in end-of-life product decisions to maintain, refresh or retire services or systems, including applications, technologies, processes and information.
•Create architectural solutions to guide and contextualize solution designs/development across products, services, projects and systems.
•Develop future state roadmaps for products and technologies that align to and enable business objectives.
•Define principles, architecture patterns and standards to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
•Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for an Agile Release Train (ART) to help ensure the system under development is fit for its intended purpose and aligns with architectural principles, patterns and standards.
•Represent IT at project inception and assist in creation of business cases and the preparation of project funding proposals - including TCO.
•Assist Business Analysts and System Owners in defining technology and non-functional requirements for solutions.
•Other duties as assigned.
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
•Solid experience with integration technologies that provide API management, messaging/streaming, file transfer, integration gateway, ETL, and/or complex integration techniques.
•A minimum of 5 years' experience as an architect that actively promotes and uses industry best practice architectural patterns in their architectural designs and implementations.
•Effective problem resolution, analysis and trouble shooting skills related to information architecture concepts that enable well architected and integrated transactional, analytical, and collaborative systems.
•Excellence written, verbal and presentation skills when working with business leaders, project management/ARTS, and technical experts at all levels.
•Ability to listen for understanding, resolve conflicts, negotiate, compromise, and collaboratively lead business leaders and project teams to an optimal solution.
•Experience migrating on-premises system to the cloud is a preferred.
•Firsthand experience in modeling languages (such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML) is a plus.
•Banking or other Financial Services experience is a plus.
•8+ years of experience in project management, Software development life cycles and information systems architecture and applications.
•Requires a bachelor's in computer science, Electronic Engineering, MIS or related field. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company's primary technology and operations center.
