Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Caterpillar Inc. seeks IT Analyst III-Applications at its facility located at 100 NE Adams St., Peoria, IL 61929.**Job Description:** Work in a data analytics group supporting centralized data platform by working with developers, customers, and digital architects to bring data to the platform through ETL or SQL development. Focus on developing and maintaining the governance frame to ensure the platform is secure, data is accurate, high quality and efficient. Assist with performance of all necessary ETL (data extraction, transformation, and loading) related tasks which include requesting data access, setting up data connection, developing and improving TEST ETL procedures, scheduling, and monitoring ETL scheduled jobs and responding to issues. Working with application and report developers to support project planning, training, guidance on standards, and the efficient creation and maintenance of high-quality data. Maintain, execute, and monitor data platform governance procedures. Respond to issues in the area of security access control, data quality control, database structure standards and resource usages. Contribute to standard procedures, standard works, continue improvement of data quality, data security and efficiency, as well as technical requirements. Develop reports, queries, and other data centric applications to support business customers or database governance requirements.**Requirements:** This position requires a masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in an IT data analysis and data management or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) 3 years of experience in data governance, metadata management, data quality, data modeling, and data architecture concept; (2) Data management and analytics (specifically: data design, data quality, reporting, analytic, ETL, and governance); (3) Investigating data grief or issues, identifying root cause and implementing solutions to address the issue; (4) Tools and technologies such as: Snowflake, SQL and stored procedures, Java-script, Python, and PowerShell; (5) Supporting data application and reporting in the area of Wear Components souring planning, S&OP demand management, capacity and supply planning; (6) Developing end to end data analytics process integration from ETL, DB data processing to PBI reporting through API and job dependency; and (7) Developing application standards and provide Azure resource / DevOps admin support to Python flask based Web application.
