Quality Technician

Description:Position Overview:Mixing or blending raw materials within formula specifications to support production requirements while adhering to safety, GMP, and quality standards. Responsibilities are to follow all SOPs, work instructions, batch sheets, and production schedule to precisely mix a combination of raw materials to make a specific finished product. The blending department is a small team and attendance is crucial to keep everyone safe, produce quality product, and efficiently get blending tasks accomplished.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Education:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required; and/or equivalent training and experience.Additional Skills:Strong Math skills.Experience in a manufacturing environment with hands on knowledge.Strong communication skills (written & verbal).Detail oriented.Physical Demands:When the quantity of raw material is less than 45-pounds, they will typically have smaller quantities weighing from 5 - 45 pounds pre-weighed in 5-gallon pails, He/she will then lift and dispense various Raw Materials from 5-gallon pails into the Blend / Pre-Mix tank.Candidates will also be required to lift, walk approx. 5 - 8 paces and dispense 50-55 pound bags of powdered Raw Materials into the Blend Tank or Pre-Mix Tanks. That would typically be 1 to 5 bags per batch.Candidates will also be required to move 55-gallon drums weighing 100 - 700 pounds with a drum dolly.When working with dangerous chemicals, breathing devices and chemicals impervious PPE are required.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
