Why this role is important to us The Head of Global Delivery – North America is responsible for leading, managing and developing a team of ~ 4,000 people across multiple locations focused on delivery of services to our clients. This includes oversight and governance of services delivered by State Street Bank & Trust (SSBT) or on behalf of SSBT from other State Street operations outside of North America.
Global Delivery is an integral part of our Investment Services operations delivering custody, accounting, fund administration, alternatives, middle office, transfer agency and securities operations services across multiple client segments, investment structures and domiciles.
What you will be responsible for
Ensuring Global Delivery activities are performed and services are delivered to clients in accordance with all contractual and service level agreements.
Maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness, delivering services in an efficient and controlled manner with a continuous focus on improving quality and productivity.
Documenting, adhering to, and ensuring compliance with operating policies, procedures, controls, relevant SOC/ISAE controls, and regulatory requirements.
Implementing key metrics, performance, and risk indicators to track volumes, manage growth, service delivery quality, cost, productivity, efficiency, and risk.
Managing financial performance to operating plan, ensuring forecasts are accurate, and actively managing headcount and expenses to achieve agreed efficiency targets.
Developing and managing client relationships on a professional basis, conducting operational service reviews regularly, and documenting and completing actions.
Representing Global Delivery teams in client meetings, presentations, and due diligence reviews.
Conducting thorough reviews of new business and service requests, including operating model design, resource, and technology requirements, and risk assessment.
Ensuring operating models are best in class, scalable, leverage global process standards where possible, and clients are serviced on strategic technology platforms.
Planning for optimal organization and resources to cater for growth, onboarding, conversions, regulatory, and other major projects.
Engaging with technology and vendors on functional specifications, testing, and successful on-time delivery of new applications and/or software upgrades.
Building effective teams, focusing on training, development, talent and succession planning, while setting challenging but realistic performance and stretch goals.
Informing executive management, legal entity boards, and second and third lines of defense about all relevant operational and service issues, risks, and risk events in a timely manner.
Maintaining awareness of relevant business and product developments, market trends, and regulatory changes impacting operations, clients, and market participants.
Developing and executing agreed business plans, providing input into the formulation of Global Delivery and operations global strategy.
Supporting control, risk, compliance/ethics, and internal audit reviews or inspections, ensuring there are no open or overdue actions for Global Delivery.
Managing requests for information from external auditors, legal advisors, regulators, and other parties while complying with local and corporate policies.
Managing conflicts of interest in accordance with corporate policy and operating with the highest standards of integrity.
Ensuring compliance with all corporate and local policies and procedures, with a focus on health and safety, operational risk, resiliency, and business continuity.

A proven track record at a senior level in asset servicing or asset management.
Over 15 years' experience running large operations teams within financial services.
Technical knowledge of asset servicing activities and associated regulations.
Enterprise leadership skills managing client service delivery and business growth.

Strong team leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication, and presentation skills.

Salary Range: $225,000 - $337,500 Annual
