Sr Application Architect at Humana in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect's work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. As a Sr Application Architect, you will collaborate with the development team and management to determine business requirements and functional specifications of applications. You will directly work with key client stakeholders to define the business problem and determine solution requirements. You will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests, upgrades, and debugging, mentoring junior application developers, and providing technical support. Moreover, you will ensure the technology meets the business requirements of various departments across the company and implement development plans for new and existing applications. The Senior Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. + 7 or more experience as a Sr Developer in large IT projects. + 5+ years' project architect and/or team lead experience. + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications + Master's Degree + Azure Cloud Certification(s) Work-At-Home Requirements + WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
