Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

My client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Psychiatrist to join their team virtually. This role involves conducting psychiatric assessments and providing comprehensive mental health care to both adults and children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, excellent diagnostic skills, and a passion for improving the mental well-being of their patients.Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations for adults and children.Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatment.Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as appropriate.Educate patients and their families about medication use, potential side effects, and benefits.Adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Provide brief therapeutic interventions and crisis management as needed.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and referrals for additional services.Offer education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards of practice.Requirements:Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.Current licensure to practice psychiatry in New York.Board certification in psychiatry.Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatry, with experience in both adult and pediatric populations preferred.Must be tech savvy and able to work remote comfortably.Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Please note- The annual base salary range is $160/hr to $180/hr. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
