Bus Driver - Seniors (Part-Time)

EXAMPLES OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED:Set up rooms for daily activities including but not limited to:•Placing tables, chairs & various equipment out•Prep coffee bar prior to morning runs•Assist with room changes throughout the workday as needed
Transportation Duties:•Responsible for daily senior shuttle from local residences to the Mansfield Activities Center•Responsible for loading and unloading passengers ensuring their safety•Keep records of mileage, tire tread & proper fluid levels on vehicles•Notify Senior Services Supervisor when bus or other vehicles require maintenance or repairs•Maintain clean vehicles inside and out with routine cleaning•Responsible for refueling of vehicles as needed•Drive for field trips or events
Food Service Duties:•Assist in preparation and serving senior lunches•Bus & clean tables, tear down room, clean kitchen and empty trash cans after lunch•Assist with special events, parties and programs as needed

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:•Must be at least 21 years of age•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal•Flexible, energetic, and outgoing personality•Must have reliable transportation•Must be able to work morning, evening and weekend hours (primary hours are M-F; 7am2pm)•Valid Texas drivers license•Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Windows applications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:•High school diploma or equivalent required.
DESIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:•CPR certified preferred•Additional training or experience in a related field.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS :
1. The physical activity of this position•Balancing. Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.•Stooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.•Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.•Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.•Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.•Pushing. Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.•Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.•Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.•Fingering. The visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception, and field vision.•The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, andthoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.)or to make general observations of facilities or structures
4. The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position•The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.•The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.•The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
