Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
This role is responsible to continually and accurately update the Axiom software system for all new actual data from the GL systems CommonSpirit-wide (often daily). It proactively monitors and ensures the reliability of the CommonSpirit
Axiom operations reporting tools and financial planning applications, and effectively manages user issues that come in from the enterprise-wide Axiom user helpline. This role requires a strong understanding of the various enterprise-wide
Axiom software applications and their intent (monthly actual vs target reporting, Forecast, Long Range Strategic Financial Plan, capital project approval and tracking, annual department labor hour/ dollar targets, and other), along with effective database management skills and good customer service.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
● Ensure the proper monitoring and maintenance of all CommonSpirit Axiom FP&A information and projection systems so that they can reliably produce accurate actual and projected information for CommonSpirit financial analytics.
● Analyze the Axiom systems to ensure constant data integrity for actuals data (tie out to GL); oversee daily full interfaces of actual data from Lawson and Hyperion into Axiom. Constantly monitor Axiom Dimensions to keep them appropriately in line with the constant changes in the respective Dignity and CHI GL systems.
● Proactively monitor user questions and requests to the AxiomAdmin helpline. Provide good customer service, and breed user confidence in the Axiom software.
● Be able to independently solve conceptually difficult user helpline issues, using prior training and a solid understanding of the application’s structure and intent.
● Able to independently and accurately manage most situations for user setup in the complex Axiom security system
● Wherever possible develop a stronger understanding of the Axiom software from an end user standpoint.
● Apply a strong understanding of the many facets of Axiom Dimensions; be able to precisely set up new entities, departments and accounts taking into account the needs and interplay of the various applications. Identify possible issues and errors in the existing Dimensions tables.
● Evaluate and resolve capital project workflow issues in Axiom.
● Understand and drive budget/ target data uploads from Axiom to the respective Lawson systems, and Hyperion, including tie out checks.
● Help with the constant new projects (e.g. continuous improvement related; integration with the new Cloud Suite GL system; Axiom System updates; future roll-out of a standardized CommonSpirit capital project approval and tracking system).
● Understand root cause of system errors and/or process issues, ensuring remediation plans are devised and implemented for both short term and long term solutions.
● Train other team members and CommonSpirit end users as necessary.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or information systems required. At least two years of demonstrated experience with major data systems, data integrity and FP&A software products (preferably Syntellis/Axiom).
Prefer detailed experience with acute healthcare financial dynamics and typical source system data (GL, payroll systems, decision support/ patient accounting, revenue cycle, etc.). Experience working with data interfaces between systems.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Able to develop creative solutions to complex issues involving FP&A software applications and specific special project needs that arise.
Good personal interaction and customer service skills.
Able to handle multiple assignments in an environment with changing priorities and quick turnaround times.
Able to be flexible to work off hours as required to resolve errors, support end users, perform and test system upgrades, and to complete other Corporate emergencies and deliverables.
Able to work at a very detailed level on some projects and a higher level on other projects.
Pay Range
$38.81 - $56.28 /hour
