Surgery - General Physician

Weare seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for a locum position inPortsmouth, VA. This role requires working Monday through Friday from 7:00 amto 3:30 pm, with additional on-call responsibilities that include weekends.Inthis role, you will perform a range of aortic surgery procedures, includingdescending aortic aneurysms. You will also conduct coronary artery bypasssurgeries (CABG), redo coronary revascularization (with or without heart valvesurgery), arterial revascularization (using internal mammary arteries, radialartery, and gastroepiploic artery), pericardial window, tube thoracostomy, andthoracic aortic aneurysms.Additionally,you will execute thoracic endoscopy procedures such as flexible and rigidbronchoscopy, thoracotomy lung resections and pneumonectomy, chest wallresection and reconstruction, and mediastinal surgery. Your responsibilitieswill also include performing vascular surgery procedures like heart valverepair/replacement surgery, heart valve replacement without surgery (CoreValve System), and mitral valve repair.Requirements:Fellowshiptraining in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required.Boardcertification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.CurrentACLS and BLS certifications.Anactive Virginia medical license.Portsmouth,VA, is a vibrant city located in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area.
