Must have Medical Assistant certificationCOVID-19 vaccination (including booster) and flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted only)Job Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant will support smooth and efficient practice operations while contributing to BIDMC's commitment to providing extraordinary care.
Essential Responsibilities:
Communicate courteously and helpfully with patients, employees, and the public via phone and in person.Perform administrative tasks as needed, including greeting patients, check-in, and scheduling appointments.Assist patients with physical and psychological limitations in ambulation and care functions.Conduct medical assisting duties, including:Measuring vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, etc.)Recording height and weightPerforming EKGs and phlebotomyAssisting during routine medical proceduresConduct point-of-care testing, including lab tests and specimen collection, while ensuring quality control standards are met for testing equipment.Provide patients with relevant instructions for tests and procedures.Orientation:
