8 Weeks--30 to 40hrs per week ---Possibility fo 10 weeks tops.Located in the Occupational Therapy Department of Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH).KVMH is part of the Kauai Region, Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, a public benefit corporation of the State of Hawaii operating 12 facilities statewide.This position also reports to SMMH (Kapaa, HI).The primary function of this position is to provide occupational therapy at both facilities and therapeutic activities to in-patients, residents and out-patients as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team.This position works in conjunction with the Physical Therapy dept. in providing LTC activity programs for the residents at both KVMH and SMMH.This position requires travel to SMMH on a regular basis.Job Requirements
Education: Baccalaureate degree in occupational therapy from a school approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. in collaboration with the American Medical Association, or foreign credentials approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc.Experience: Two (2) years professional experience as an Occupational Therapist under medical supervision.Certification Requirement: Passed the occupational therapist national certification examination administered by the NBCOT.State Registration: Registered with the State of Hawaii as an Occupational Therapist at the time of appointment.Schedule Information
Contract duration is 8 weeks with a possibility of extending up to 10 weeks.Weekly hours range from 30 to 40.Additional Details
Holiday pay is based on hours worked day of: New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.Once confirmed, please use the appropriate portal to communicate the date of arrival on the island and any outstanding compliance items.
