Job Details

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports as needed to support company growth and strategic decision-making.

General Ledger Management: Oversee all general ledger activities, ensuring the accuracy of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage and oversee the entire accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments, billing, and collections.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Work closely with the finance team to develop annual budgets and provide accurate financial forecasting.

NetSuite ERP Management: Utilize NetSuite for daily accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and data entry. Ensure that all financial systems and processes are optimized and integrated with NetSuite.

Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, including tax filings and audits. Assist with the coordination of annual audits and respond to audit inquiries.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations. Provide reports and analysis on cash flow trends.

Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high performance within the team.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

Experience:

5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

NetSuite Expertise:

Extensive hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP, including system setup, reporting, and data management.

Ability to optimize and troubleshoot NetSuite functionalities for accounting and finance purposes.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Experience with other accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.

Knowledge of GAAP: Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable tax regulations.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
