Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist with a specialization in Orthopaedics to join our dynamic medical team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, ranging from athletes to individuals recovering from surgery or injury. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care, focusing on restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to establish functional capacity and limitations.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on functional mobility, using interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and equipment prescription.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop integrated care plans for patients.
  4. Provide education to patients and families regarding the therapy process, injury prevention, and the use of therapeutic exercises and equipment.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  6. Assist patients in the use of therapeutic exercises and equipment, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
  7. Advocate for patients' needs and liaise with other healthcare professionals, insurance providers, and workers' compensation representatives as needed.
  8. Stay abreast of latest research and advancements in orthopedic physical therapy and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.

Qualifications:

  1. A degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  2. Current Physical Therapist license in good standing.
  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, sports medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, exercise prescription, therapeutic modalities, neurological rehabilitation, and worker's compensation.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and team members.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  7. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
