We are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Managing Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high-volume caseload, which includes various types of permanent residency, asylum, and deportation defense applications. You will be working with a team of professionals dedicated to providing top-notch legal services to a diverse clientele. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about immigration law, has a strong work ethic, and is committed to the highest standards of professional conduct.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to clients on matters related to immigration, including permanent residency, asylum, and deportation defense.
- Prepare and submit immigration applications and petitions with relevant government agencies.
- Represent clients in immigration court hearings and before immigration officials.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support client cases and stay updated on changes in immigration laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with legal staff to ensure the highest quality of service to clients.
- Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining a high level of productivity and excellent client service.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and updates on case progress.
- Participate in community outreach and education efforts related to immigration law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to a state bar, with good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in immigration law, specifically with permanent residency, asylum, and deportation defense cases.
- Demonstrated experience in appearing before immigration courts and officials.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Proficiency in managing a high-volume caseload with multiple deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and immigration officials.
- Strong commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with professional liability is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
