Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Medical industry. This role will be instrumental in all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in financial analysis, general ledger, account reconciliation, financial accounting, and financial statements. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
- Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Report analysis and findings to management team
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
- Conduct month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required (MBA preferred)
- Professional accounting designation ( CPA) is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with financial reporting requirements
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Proficient user of finance software
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Advanced degree in Accounting
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to meet all assigned deadlines
