Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Permanent Sales Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales of metal and paper products in the energy industry. This role involves a blend of technical understanding, client development, and sales expertise. The position requires a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in the production of metal, aluminum and paper/pulp products

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, and provide suitable solutions.
  • Engage in cold calling to develop & establish new business.
  • Create and deliver pitch decks to new and existing clients.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.
  • Strong Backgrounds in selling directly to consume (Not distributors)
  • Willing to Travel and conduct business at client sites 50-70% of the time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in the metal/paper sector within the energy industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in B2B and D2C sales, cold calling, and setting meetings in various states in the Southern sectors (AL, AR, LA, MS, TN, GA, NC, SC, FL)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including blast furnace, LD converter, rollers, rolling mills, and steel shop operations.
  • Proficiency in stressometer, edge detection, walking beam, width detection, and mill operations involved in sales of Metal/Aluminum (70% & Paper/Pulp (30%)
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals.
  • Solid experience in creating and delivering pitch decks.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in client development and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of material sales in the industrial sector is a plus.
