A bit about us:Based out of the greater DC Metro area, we are seeking a Project Manager with 3+ years experience supporting a commercial or industrial GC to join our growing team. If you have experience working on government or healthcare projects, that would be of particular interest - though we are open to any commercial/industrial project management background.
In this role, you will work on a variety of local, mostly renovation, projects valued in the ~$1-10M range near your base office.

Job DetailsAs a Commercial Construction Project Manager - your mission is to guide the full life-cycle of assigned projects, which are typically commercial and/or institutional renovation projects valued at <$10M. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting multiple smaller projects rather than a single large one.
To be successful in this role, the Construction Project Manager needs AT LEAST 3 years of experience working for a Commercial or Industrial General Contractor which should include managing subs as well as self performed work.
Government construction experience, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ), Lump-Sum Contracting, and Fast Track contracts experience is also of interest.
Responsibilities
Manages the construction workflow process starting in the project origination phase, including: estimating, negotiation, contracting, buyout, construction administration, financial management, and closeout;
Meets with Owners, Design Professionals, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements, manage client satisfaction, and take immediate action to respond to problems and concerns;
Manages building permits and other regulatory requirements;
Visit project work sites, to assure safety, quality, and cleanliness and to manage the overall contracted scope of work;
Prepares, negotiates, and manages cost estimates and proposals related to the change management process;
Creates and develops critical path project schedules to establish a baseline schedule;
Implement strategies to subcontract or self-perform the various aspects of a project to achieve the project objectives of price, schedule, and quality;
Negotiates contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders as needed.
Education/Experience:
B.S. degree in engineering or construction management strongly preferred.
At least 3 years prior Project Manager experience with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor
Prior renovation project experience is strongly preferred
Familiarity with a broad range of construction means and methods
Government contracting experience is preferred
