Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for steel? We are currently seeking a highly skilled Permanent Structural Steel Estimator to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to the growth and success of our organization. You will be working on a variety of projects, creating accurate estimates, reviewing project drawings and specifications, and collaborating with vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Structural Steel Estimator, you will be responsible for:

1. Creating accurate and detailed estimates for structural steel projects.
2. Reviewing project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimates.
3. Conducting site visits and preparing site assessment reports to support the estimation process.
4. Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and availability of materials and services.
5. Utilizing industry-specific software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or Planswift to generate and maintain estimates.
6. Understanding and applying building codes and regulations to ensure compliance in estimates.
7. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure accurate project costings.
8. Preparing and submitting budget proposals, and presenting cost estimates to stakeholders.
9. Monitoring industry trends and market conditions to maintain competitiveness in pricing.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in structural steel estimating or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in using industry-specific software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or Planswift.
3. A solid understanding of building codes and regulations.
4. Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
6. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
8. A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
