Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInspecting and measuring parts to ensure they meet design specificationsPreparing inspection reports that detail results, generating QN's to identify findingsPerform dimensional and visual inspections of parts and assemblies to drawings and specificationsUtilize a variety of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM's etc.Understand GD&T requirements and be able to apply them during the inspection processDocument inspection results in accordance with customer requirements (AS9102)Train other inspectors on proper inspection techniquesOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTechnical skills:

Communication skills are necessary for interacting with other professionals, clients and other individuals. As a mechanical inspector, you may be required to present your inspection results to a client or other individuals. Having strong communication skills can help you convey your message effectively and efficiently.Problem-solving skills:

Must quickly understand the impact of their quality decision on the Company and customer requirementsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferably CQT and CMI5+ years' experience in quality control or mechanical inspectionWorking knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standardsProficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systemsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExcellent attention to detailExperience using Net Inspect is a plus
