We are seeking a
Lead Nurture Strategist
for our participant marketing team at Principal Financial Group! In this role, you will use your expertise to develop a long-term nurture strategy for retirement plan participants to engage and retain our target audience by utilizing different content mediums. Your primary focus will be on crafting a comprehensive content strategy that drives engagement, education, and participant confidence throughout their financial journeys!
What you'll do:Develop and implement long-term nurture strategies in line with overall business marketing objectives. Identify target audience personas, content themes, and journey-specific content support. Establish consistent content themes across audiences and broaden activation strategies to all relevant media.Collaborate with internal and external resources to produce high-quality, engaging content in various formats. This includes articles, , infographics, webinars, videos, podcasts, and social media posts. Identify partnership opportunities with content creators or featured presenters for speaking engagements.Expand to a variety of media outlets to improve the reach and visibility of content, including email newsletters, webinars, email journeys, social media platforms, guest posting, and other strategic partnerships. Identify and develop processes for new opportunities to distribute content and the technology necessary to advance program goals.Research and develop data needed to bring personalization at scale for nurture programs. Foster meaningful interactions with our audience by actively participating in online communities, responding to comments and inquiries, and monitoring relevant conversations to identify trends and opportunities.Regularly review the performance of content marketing efforts using relevant metrics and analytics tools. Use insights to refine strategies, optimize content, and drive continuous improvement. Use data and customer experience insights to enrich our understanding of the customer.Work closely with the Lead Activation Strategist and other teams like marketing, sales, and product development to align content initiatives with business goals.Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies to inform content strategies and maintain a competitive edge.Who You Are
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.6+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a B2C or financial industry-focused environment.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Outstanding editing skills to build compelling content tailored to different audiences and media.Proficiency in CRO standard methodologies and content optimization techniques.Strong analytical skills and familiarity with content analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) and analytic dashboard tools (e.g., PowerBI).Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms is a plus.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$95200 - $182400 / yearTime Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.Pension Eligible
