Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the design, development and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!This role supports A- Shift, Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pmEvaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirementsPerforms shop order release/closure in MRP System and reconciles partsProvide detailed status of work in progress, material availability, and communicates constraints to schedulePrepare work orders for the production of parts based on master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirementsCoordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics and program.Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping ordersWork cross functionally to expedite any material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areasImplement material stocking strategy on production lines, monitor, control and maintain proper floor stockControl the proper access and consumption of material in manufacturing - custodian of the cashMonitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production to ensure work completes on time to schedule.Monitor the velocity of the disposition of MRB and stranded materialEnter material transactions in ERP systemPrepare reports and note shortages/damageProcess Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required.Prepare for, conduct and assist in reconciliation of cycle countsKnowledge of backflush process.Work with Production and Materials teams to resolve part discrepanciesMay be required to interface with departments throughout the companyMust possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision making skills, and the ability to think outside the boxQualifications:1+ years supply chain experienceExperience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)Experience with activities related to planning and/or schedulingExperience working with a cross functional teamExcellent computer skills with MS Office, ERP experience with MRP execution desired.Excellent written /verbal communications skillsDemonstrates understanding and is able to apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and KaizenAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:Associates or Bachelor's DegreeFlexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasionBased upon job duties, may need to work in various areas that may cause exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.Experience with ERP systemsAbility to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities and management and customer decisionsHighly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication skillsStrong math and analytical skills to solve problemsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailApplications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.Inclusivity StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
