The Arthur Smith Institute for Urology at Northwell Health is seeking a physician leader for the position of Chief, Urology at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, NY. Responsibilities and tasks of the role include:
Working with the chair on all matters related to clinical operationsEnsure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocolsContinue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity and outcomesEnsure the productivity of physician faculty and support staffMaintain and improve upon the excellence within the departmentCandidate Qualifications
D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of MedicineCompletion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibilityCurrently licensed as a physician in the State of New YorkOutstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staffPrevious division, department, or program leadershipThe Smith Institute for UrologyNorthwell Health's Arthur Smith Institute for Urology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester; with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. Our physicians have vast experience in minimally invasive procedures to treat all urologic diseases including those affecting the bladder, kidneys, male genitalia, and prostate. In an effort to make the transition as smooth as possible, you will have partners who have a wealth of experience in all the specialty areas of urology.There is a true camaraderie within our group. We hold weekly conferences to help keep all updated on the latest treatments and technologies. We have residencies and an extensive network of physician extenders.
