Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 per year

Primary Purpose

The Process Engineer will be responsible for launching new programs, implementing process improvements, and driving continuous improvements in casting quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design gating systems for both new and existing jobs using CAD modeling and simulation software.
  • Collaborate with customers, internal and external pattern shops, the engineering team, and other personnel to design and develop new tooling.
  • Develop and implement process controls for new jobs.
  • Work closely with production supervisors and workers to evaluate and improve production processes for new jobs, modifications to existing jobs, or jobs with casting defects.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of foundry processes, tooling design, and construction.
  • Experience with CAD software is required; familiarity with Magma is a plus.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and proficiency in GD&T is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with nondestructive examination methods (Visual, Liquid Penetrant, Radiography).
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Knowledge of process mapping and Lean/6 Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or 1-3 years of relevant experience.
