Job Details:

We are seeking a seasoned and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced team in the Finance industry. This is a permanent role that offers a fantastic opportunity to leverage your professional experience and skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting activities including bookkeeping, payroll services, and payroll tax. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and responsibility.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing all aspects of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  2. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  3. Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports or snapshots including weekly cash flow forecasts.
  4. Assisting with the preparation of monthly/annual financial statements and coordinating the annual audit process.
  5. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
  6. Providing payroll tax support and managing the payroll process.
  7. Assisting in the development of budgets and financial projections.
  8. Collaborating with other departments to support overall department goals and objectives.
  9. Responding to inquiries from the director of finance, company-wide manager, and other finance and firm-wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. 3-5 years of experience with QuickBooks.
  4. Previous experience in a CPA firm is highly desirable.
  5. Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll services.
  6. Knowledge of payroll tax and ability to manage the payroll process.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
