Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Background Check Associate. Under direction, this position will receive and review incoming criminal history and Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System clearances and apply agency policy and procedures to independently provide information and/or recommendations for resolution. The position will independently perform cursory review of background check information to ensure completeness of information for approval or denial of licensure/employment prior to data entry. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and interested in playing a supporting role in the Department’s operations. Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
  • Requires 2 years of office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.
