Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for insurance companies.
  • Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis on various issues, including insurance-specific tax regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow professionally.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and a deep understanding of client needs.
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities.
  • Stay current on tax laws and changes, especially those relevant to the insurance industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation or CPA preferred).
  • 3-5 years of tax experience, preferably with insurance clients.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, with a focus on the insurance industry.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
