Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
- Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and CFO concerning strategic planning.
- Review and analyze financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
- Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, minimizing the impact of variances.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
- Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
- Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
- Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
- Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the finance industry.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and other financial planning software.
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of the finance industry.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel.
