Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Locum Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role requires an individual who is passionate about providing the highest level of care to our most vulnerable patients - newborn infants. You will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing the health conditions of neonates in a critical care setting. This role involves working closely with a team of professionals including neonatologists, neonatal nurses, and other healthcare providers, to ensure that the infants under your care receive the best possible treatment.

Schedule:

ASAP-Jun 30, 2025

Shift: Clinic + In-house 24-hour shifts - 0800 - 0800

Beds in Dept: 19

Trauma Level: 2

Skills/Cases:

  • Rounding on Assigned and unassigned patients
  • Asked to attend all c-sections

Certs required:

BLS

PALS

DEA

WI licensed or IMLC preferred!

Support Staff:

5-8 RNs

1 NP/PA

Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days

EMR: Epic

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Consulting Locum Neonatology NP position should have:

  1. A Master’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  2. Current certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in neonatal intensive care, including experience with umbilical line placements.
  4. Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  6. The ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment, managing multiple priorities and responding quickly to emergencies.
  7. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  8. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
  9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
