Per Diem Nurse Practitioner role located in Chula Vista, CA with a focus in Primary Care. This position would work in our Padilla Family Medicine, working closing with our other affiliates, San Diego Medical Group and South Bay Geriatric & Internal Medicine Inc

As a fast growing and well-respected private practice in Southwest Riverside County, the role of our physicians in our practice are to examine and treat patients, regardless of age or sex. Ensure proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Prescribe and administer medications, perform routine vaccinations, and provide advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists, as necessary. Full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Primary Care.Full-time is 40 hours per work week.Competitive salary.Providers see approximately three patients per hour.EHR: EPIC.Telemedicine appointments available.Required education and experience:

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
Board certification.Active and unrestricted California PA/NP medical license.Minimum Experience Required:
Medical Degree from an accredited medical college.Board certification/eligibility.License/Certification: Active and unrestricted California Medical license. (Required)Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required:
Bilingual Spanish or other language preferred, but not required.EMR: Athena, EPIC, ECWStrong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms and epidemiology.Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Respect for patient's confidentiality.Compassionate and approachable.Responsible and trustworthy.Expected Hours of Work
Full-time physician in family practice (30-40 hours per work week).Providers see approximately three patients per hour.Telemedicine appointments available.4 or 5-day work week options.Schedule: 8-9.5-hour shift.Call schedule to be determined.
